Ash Carlton is a mechanical designer with more than ten years of SolidWorks experience across aerospace, industrial manufacturing, exhibit engineering, and product development. Past employers include A.M. Haire, Apple Rock Displays, Collins Aerospace, and Vartech Systems. Ash also spent five years managing product development while employed at Vartech Systems, so he understands engineering management, budgets, and deadlines that come with it. He holds a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) credential and an Industrial Design Technology diploma from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

At DesignTech Solutions, Ash turns rough ideas, sketches, and legacy drawings into manufacturing-ready CAD models and drawing packages. Outside of work, he builds handcrafted writing instruments and shaving sets under Writesmith Pens, which is the same attention to detail applied to different areas.
